Bunyip Hunting

31/03/2014

The students on the hunt for the Bunyip at Columboola

On Friday the 21st March, our classes 1/2G and 2/3W, along with Miss Gossage and her year 3 class, went on a Science Excursion to Columboola to explore living things. On the excursion we got to hunt for yabbies using meat tied to a string, Miss Garrad was so excited to catch two yabbies!

We also went on a hunt for the mysterious Bunyip. On the hunt for the Bunyip, we found lots of things in the Bunyips’ green and red bags. This included magnifying glasses, stethoscopes, feely bags and a cookie and a drink! These items helped us to understand how the Bunyip’s 5 senses worked. They have great eye sight, great hearing and love their food. But unfortunately we didn’t see the Bunyip because they only come out at night!!

We had a wonderful time with great behaviour and look forward to another excursion in the future.
