Mental Health Week Event

​This week is Queensland Mental Health Week (QMHW). This is an annual event that aims to increase awareness and interest in positive mental health and wellbeing across the state. A great way to get ready mentally for Term 4 ahead!
The theme for 2018 is to value mental health – with six steps
  1. Be active – do what you can, enjoy what you do, get moving and improve your mood
  2. Keep learning – embrace new experiences, recognise opportunities, surprise yourself
  3. Connect – talk, listen, be there
  4. Give – your time, your words, your presence
  5. Take notice – remember the simple things that give you joy
  6. Care for our planet – it’s the home we all share
To recognise this week, TSSC will be holding a QMHW Information Night for adults this Thursday 11th October in the Library from 6-7pm and you are invited to attend. Ideas on how to promote positive mental health for yourself and with your students will be shared. Our special guest speakers will be Cindy Wood and Daniel Nelson from Lives Lived Well (Dalby/Chinchilla). Please come along and support this event. Light refreshments will be served.
