At Tara Shire State
College, Student Leadership is bestowed upon the student/s who
best represents the ideals of the college and is a role model to their peers.
The qualities which a student should possess/demonstrate to be eligible for
consideration for a position are:-

School Captain blazers are donated by the TSSC P & C
Association and presented to the College Captain(s) and Vice-Captain(s) each
year at the Tara Shire State College Student Leadership Ceremony.
JUNIOR SECONDARY CAPTAINS & PRIMARY CAPTAINS
These positions are bestowed upon the student/s in Years 9&6, who best
represents the ideals of the College and is a role model to
students. Their role is to support the Captains and display the college
values in their everyday life.
CLASS LEADERS
Each class, from Year 4 to 11 elects a
class leaders, The class leaders represent their classes on the Student Council and assist
in organising school events.
SPORTS CAPTAINS
Tara Shire State College has three sports
House: Bukari, Coolac and Patonga. Student leaders are chosen to
represent these houses from both the primary school and the secondary
sector.
These Captains show sportsmanship and teamwork and rally the participation of their
peers on the sporting field.
