Behaviour management

Tara Shire State College is committed to providing a safe, respectful and disciplined learning environment for students and staff, where students have opportunities to engage in quality learning experiences and acquire values supportive of their lifelong wellbeing.
 
 
The Responsible Behaviour Plan communicates high standards of behaviour so that the learning and teaching in our school can be effective and students can participate positively within our school community. This purpose is reflected in the College’s vision:

The College's statement of purpose also guides the work of all staff at Tara Shire State College. Combined with the principles of the Positive Behaviour for Learning, this statement underpins the work of teachers and administrators in developing appropriate behaviours from all students at the College.  The statement of purpose is:
At Tara Shire State College, every student will make progress.

 
Our school community has identified the following school rules to teach and promote our high standards of responsible behaviour:
Be a learner, Be respectful, Be safe
