Year 11 and 12 students use the Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) system as per the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) guidelines.
A key focus of the new system is on
21
st
Century Skills
which incorporate – Critical thinking, Creative thinking, Communication, Teamwork and Collaboration, ICT Skills and Personal and Social Skills.
If students are intending a tertiary entrance pathway they will receive an ATAR at the conclusion of their senior schooling.
Students will sit four pieces of assessment per year,
with
an external exam at the end of Year 12, similar to those in other states.
