Tara Shire State College provides eligible students in Years 5 – 12 with an Instrumental Music program, provided weekly by a visiting qualified music instructor. The students are eligible to perform in the school concert bank, community events, parades, Anzac Day ceremonies, camps, eisteddfods and college ceremonies. There is a music fee to cover the cost of music, stands and school instrument loan. For students with their own instrument, the cost is at a lower rate.
The college provides compulsory music classes for students from Prep to year 8.
